Newsletter: April 2019

Globally, we are all in one way or the other experiencing the effects of climate change. From flash floods to cyclones, bush fires to melting ice caps!

In Kenya, unpredictable weather patterns continue to affect most communities especially those living in poverty and exclusion. This is causing drought which affects the communities' food security and nutrition. The people's livelihoods are also being affected by effects such as prolonged drought and flash flooding, pulling them back into poverty despite the strives they may have made out of it.

We are responding to these negative effects of climate change by preparing communities and building their resilience, and also responding to their immediate needs for survival.

In this newsletter, we share the experiences of some of the women we are working with, and how climate change has affected them.
